Princeton Admits 770 Early Action Applicants to Class of 2021

princeton logoPrinceton University admitted 770 single choice early action applicants to the Class of 2021.  

Applications grew 18.3 percent to 5,003, resulting in an early admission rate of 15.4 percent.

MIT Admits 657 Early Action Applicants to Class of 2021

mit logoThe Massachusetts Institute of Technology admitted 657 early action applicants to the Class of 2021.  

A total of 8,394 applications were submitted this year, resulting in an early admission rate of 7.8 percent.  

5,853 applicants were deferred, 1,717 were denied, and the remaining 167 were withdrawn or incomplete.

University of Georgia Offers Early Admission to 8,000 Applicants

UNC Chapel Hill Admits 6,948 Early Action Applicants to the Class of 2020

uncchapelhill logoThe University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill reported today that it admitted 6,948 Early Action applicants to the Class of 2020.

A total of 19,842 early action applications were received this year, up 16 percent from the previous year, resulting in an early action admission rate of 35 percent.

University of Virginia Admits 5,203 Early Action Applicants to the Class of 2020

uva logoThe University of Virginia announced today that it admitted 5,203 early action applicants to the Class of 2020.  

A total of 16,768 early action applications were received this year, resulting in an early admission rate of 31%.  Total early action applications accounted for over 50 percent of the total applications received for the year.  The targeted size of the class is expected to be approximately 3,675.

Georgia Tech Admits 4,424 Early Action Applicants to the Class of 2020

gatech logoGeorgia Tech announced today that it admitted 4,424 early action applicants to the Class of 2020.  

Early action applications grew 27 percent this year to a record 14,861, resulting in an early action admission rate of 30 percent.

Georgetown Admits 892 Early Action Applicants to Class of 2020

georgetown logoGeorgetown University admitted 892 restrictive early action applicants to the Class of 2019.  

A total of 7,027 early action applications were received this year, resulting in an early admission rate of 13 percent. 

The Walsh School of Foreign Service admitted 14 percent of applicants, while Georgetown College, the McDonough School of Business and the School of Nursing and Health Studies each admitted 12 percent of applicants.

Applications grew 9.8 percent to 4,229, resulting in an early admission rate of 18.5 percent.

MIT Admits 656 Early Action Applicants to Class of 2020

mit logoThe Massachusetts Institute of Technology admitted 656 early action applicants to the Class of 2020.  

A total of 7,767 applications were submitted this year, up 19% from last year, resulting in an early admission rate of 8.4%.  

4,776 applicants were deferred, 2,175 were denied, and the remaining 160 were withdrawn or incomplete.

Yale Admits 795 Early Action Applicants to Class of 2020

yaleYale admitted 795 applicants to the Class of 2020 under Single Choice Early Action.

A total of 4,662 applications were received, resulting in an admission rate of 17 percent.  53 percent of applicants were deferred, 29 percent were denied, and 1% were withdrawn or incomplete.

Yale expects to admit an additional 1,200-1,300 students via regular decision to achieve a target class size of 1,360.

University of Georgia Offers Early Admission to 7,500 Applicants

UGA logoThe University of Georgia offered 7,500 high schools students early admission.  A record 14,516 early action applications were received this year, up nearly 10 percent from the last year.

Yale Single Choice Early Action applications hold steady for Class of 2020

yaleYale announced today that the number of Single Choice Early Action applications remained stable for the Class of 2020.  Applications totaled 4,662 for the Class of 2020, compared to 4,693 for the previous year. 

Although the number of applicants remained essentially unchanged, the university did not increased diversity in the mix, both geographically and ethnically.

Decisions will be made in mid-December.

Princeton Class of 2020 early action applications rise 9.4 percent

princeton logoPrinceton announced that it received 4,164 single-choice early action applications as of November 11. This represents a 9.4 percent increase from last year, and is attributable to both increased outreach and the removal of the SAT subject test requirement this year.
