The University of Georgia offered 8,917 early action applicants to the Class of 2026.

A total of 21,570 applications were received, up 3 percent from the previous year, resulting in an admit rate of 41 percent.

Most schools have completed their updates for the 2021-22 admission cycle (Class of 2026), and several of the changes we've observed are worth noting. 

Roughly 25 schools have modified early admission options available to applicants this fall.  Notable changes include the resumption of Restrictive Early Action at Princeton, the introduction of Early Decision 2 at Carnegie Mellon, Emerson and Loyola Marymount, and the removal of Early Decision 2 at Syracuse University.

Yale announced today that it admitted 837 applicants to the Class of 2025 under Single Choice Early Action.

A record 7,939 applications were received, up 38 percent year over year, resulting in an early admission rate of 10.5 percent.  50 percent of applicants were deferred, 38 percent were denied, and 1 percent were withdrawn or incomplete.

Georgia Tech announced that it admitted 2,330 Early Action 1 applicants to the Class of 2025.  Early Action 1 is for Georgia residents only.  

Early Action 1 applications exceed 6,000, resulting in an admission rate of 38 percent.

The University of Virginia announced today that it admitted 5,219 early action applicants to the Class of 2024.  

A total of 25,160 early action applications were received, resulting in an overall early admission rate of 26 percent.  35 percent of in-state applicants were admitted compared to 15 percent of out-of-state applicants.

Georgia Tech announced that it admitted 4,569 early action applicants to the Class of 2024.  

Early action applications grew 9 percent to 22,199, resulting in an early action admission rate of 21 percent.

Yale admitted 796 applicants to the Class of 2024 under Single Choice Early Action.

5,777 applications were received, resulting in an early admission rate of 14 percent.  56 percent of applicants were deferred, 29 percent were denied, and 1 percent were withdrawn or incomplete.

The Massachusetts Institute of Technology announced today that it admitted a total of 687 early action applicants to the Class of 2024.  

A total of 9,291 applications were submitted this year, resulting in an overall admission rate of 7 percent.

Princeton University admitted 791 single choice early action applicants to the Class of 2024.
