Bigger school lists
This year we add the "Plus" edition to our lineup for those of you with larger college lists. While the Standard Edition continues to support lists of 6-12 schools, the Plus Edition bumps the limit up to 20 schools.
Expanded database and insight
Our school database now covers over 250 top U.S. institutions. And for those applying to competitive majors such as engineering or computer science, the Plus Edition adds admissions insight for another 150+ schools within universities, such as the:
- Trinity College of Arts and Sciences at Duke
- School of Engineering and Applied Science at UCLA
- School of Hotel Administration at Cornell University
We currently cover two dozen universities in this way, including American University, Bucknell, Carnegie Mellon, Clemson, Duke, Georgetown, North Carolina State, Purdue, Texas A&M, Tufts, University of Massachusetts at Amherst, the University of Virginia, Vanderbilt and several University of California and California State University campuses.
Rolling admissions support
The Early Admission and Action Plan sections of College Kickstart 2015 now handle schools with rolling admissions or multiple priority due dates. Depending on the situation, schools offering these types of admission plans can be treated as early admission opportunities to help you potentially avoid work and cost.
Capitalize on rolling admission for less work/cost
Powerful MixFilter™ filters
In addition to helping you find safety, target and reach schools to strengthen your list, we've added some unique filters to MixFixer to help you narrow down schools of interest. These filters include finding schools which:
- Offer non-binding early action programs
- Conduct need-blind admissions
- Meet 100% of demonstrated financial need for admitted students
- Automatically consider you for merit scholarships
- Offer generous merit aid
- Don't require extra Common App essays
Pricing
All of the great features of College Kickstart 2015 are available to you for less than the cost of an application.
The Standard and Plus Editions are affordably priced at $50 and $70 per application season, which runs from January 1 to December 31, 2015.
Take charge and fire up that college plan!
I thought that it really organized my list of schools and gave me an idea of what to talk about with my college counselor to see how I should proceed. It also gave me a more realistic view of my expectations of getting into my top schools.
