NOTE: These early admission results in the table are for the 2024-2025 admissions cycle / the incoming college Class of 2029 / the current high school Class of 2025.  Some numbers are calculated based on the reported data, while others are based on reported estimates.

How do early admission rates compare to regular decision rates when maximizing admission odds?

One key insight is that most schools admit competitive early applicants at a higher rate than those applying regular decision. This means that competitive applicants have the opportunity to significantly improve their odds of admission at many schools by applying via Early Decision (ED), Early Action (EA), Restrictive Early Action (REA) or Single Choice Early Action (SCEA).

College Kickstart incorporates the data and early admission statistics that we share in this blog post alongside our proprietary methodology in our product to recommend only the early admission opportunities that are most appropriate to your situation.
