Stanford Admits 743 Applicants to Class of 2019

Stanford logoStanford announced that it accepted 743 applicants to the Class of 2019 under early action.  

The total number of early admission applicants grew to 7,297 this year, up 5% from last year's 6,948 applicants.  This resulted in an early admission rate of 10.2%, down slightly from last year's 10.8%.

Harvard Admits 977 Applicants to Class of 2019

harvardHarvard announced earlier today that it admitted 977 applicants to the Class of 2019 under early action.  

With the total pool of early applicants up a whopping 26% from last year, the early admission rate fell to 16.5% compared to 21% for the Class of 2018.

Colleges Extend Deadlines for Early Admission

calendarSeveral colleges and universities have extended their deadlines for early action and early decision due to continuing challenges with the new Common App website.  Most have shifted their deadlines out a week, some just a few days, and others have opted to leave their deadlines unchanged but offer new online submission options instead.
