Class of 2022 Early Decision and Early Action Notification Dates

student questionsHere's our latest list of early decision and early action dates for the Class of 2022.  As many of you know, schools often post results in advance of their "official" notification dates, so we've compiled the most recently updated dates for you here where available, as well as last year's notification dates for reference.   

Case Western is set to announce today at 8pm ET (both EDI and EA).  Colorado College (EA), Kalamazoo and the University of Michigan are on tap for Wednesday 12/20.

With ED/EA decisions released for virtually all of the schools we track, we'll call this 38th update our final one this season.

Georgetown Admits 1,002 Early Action Applicants to Class of 2022

georgetown logoGeorgetown University admitted 1,002 restrictive early action applicants to the Class of 2022.  

A total of 8,383 early action applications were received this year, up 7 percent, resulting in an early admission rate of 12 percent.

Notre Dame Admits 1,636 Restrictive Early Action Applicants to the Class of 2022

notredame logoThe University of Notre Dame announced today that it admitted 1,636 restrictive early action applicants to the Class of 2022.  

A total of 6,598 early action applications were received this year, resulting in an early admission rate of 25%. Total early action applications were up 10% over the previous year.

Harvard Admits 964 Early Applicants to Class of 2022

harvardHarvard announced earlier today that it admitted 964 applicants to the Class of 2022 under restrictive early action.  

A total of 6,630 early applications were received, up 2.4 percent from last year, resulting in an early admission rate of 14.5 percent.

This list includes several popular private and public schools, including Barnard, Boston College, Boston University, Brown, Carnegie Mellon, Claremont McKenna, Columbia, Cornell, Dartmouth, Davidson, Duke, Emory, Emory (Oxford), Georgetown, Georgia Tech, Hamilton, Harvard, Harvey Mudd, Johns Hopkins, Middlebury, MIT, Northwestern, Notre Dame, NYU, Pitzer, Pomona, Princeton, Rice, Scripps, Trinity College, University of Georgia, UMass Amherst, University of Pennsylvania, University of Virgina, Vanderbilt, Wesleyan, William & Mary, Williams and Yale. 

Stanford and the University of Chicago don't plan to release statistics until the end of the admissions cycle.

Boston College Admits 2,900 Restrictive Early Action Applicants to the Class of 2021

bostoncollegeBoston College announced today that it admitted 2,900 restrictive early action applicants to the Class of 2021.  

A total of 9,000 early action applications were received this year, up 5 percent, resulting in an early admission rate of 33 percent.  

Boston College hopes to fill approximately 30 percent of the Class of 2021 with students accepted early action.

Georgetown Admits 931 Early Action Applicants to Class of 2021

A total of 7,822 early action applications were received this year, up 11 percent, resulting in an early admission rate of 12 percent.

Harvard Admits 938 Early Applicants to Class of 2021

harvardHarvard announced earlier today that it admitted 938 applicants to the Class of 2021 under restrictive early action.  

With the total pool of early applicants up 4.5 percent from the previous year, the early admission rate fell slightly to 14.5 percent compared to 16.5 percent for the Class of 2020.

Notre Dame Admits 1,470 Restrictive Early Action Applicants to the Class of 2021

notredame logoThe University of Notre Dame announced today that it admitted 1,470 restrictive early action applicants to the Class of 2020.  

A total of 6,020 early action applications were received this year, resulting in an early admission rate of 24%.  Total early action applications were up 10% over the previous year.

Stanford to Release Class of 2021 Early Admission Results at End of Cycle

Stanford logoIn a break from tradition, the Stanford Daily reported today that early admission results for the Class of 2021 will not be disclosed until the end of the admission cycle. 

Last year, a total of 43,997 applications were received and 2,063 were admitted, resulting in an overall admission rate of 4.7 percent.

Boston College Admits 2,700 Restrictive Early Action Applicants to the Class of 2020

bostoncollegeBoston College announced today that it admitted 2,700 restrictive early action applicants to the Class of 2020.  

A total of 8,600 early action applications were received this year, resulting in an early admission rate of 32%.  Total early action applications accounted for approximately one-third of the total applications received for the year.

Notre Dame Admits 1,610 Restrictive Early Action Applicants to the Class of 2020

notredame logoThe University of Notre Dame announced today that it admitted 1,610 restrictive early action applicants to the Class of 2020.  

A total of 5,321 early action applications were received this year, resulting in an early admission rate of 30%.  Total early action applications were up 21% over the previous year.

Georgetown Admits 892 Early Action Applicants to Class of 2020

georgetown logoGeorgetown University admitted 892 restrictive early action applicants to the Class of 2019.  

A total of 7,027 early action applications were received this year, resulting in an early admission rate of 13 percent. 

The Walsh School of Foreign Service admitted 14 percent of applicants, while Georgetown College, the McDonough School of Business and the School of Nursing and Health Studies each admitted 12 percent of applicants.

Stanford Admits 745 Early Applicants to Class of 2020

Stanford logoStanford announced today that it admitted 745 applicants to the Class of 2020 under restrictive early action.  

Early applicants grew 7% to 7,822, resulting in an 9.5% admission rate.

Harvard Admits 918 Applicants to Class of 2020

harvardHarvard announced earlier today that it admitted 918 applicants to the Class of 2020 under early action.  

With the total pool of early applicants up 4.3% from last year, the early admission rate fell to 14.8% compared to 16.5% for the Class of 2019.
