Boston College announced today that it admitted 2,700 restrictive early action applicants to the Class of 2020.  

A total of 8,600 early action applications were received this year, resulting in an early admission rate of 32%.  Total early action applications accounted for approximately one-third of the total applications received for the year.

Tufts announced yesterday that early decision applications rose to 2,070 for the Class of 2020, up 12 percent from last year.  The institution expects to enroll roughly half of its targeted class of 1,325 through its two early decision rounds.

Overall applications grew to 20,160 as of January 14th, up 6 percent from the previous year.

The University of California today announced freshman applications for the Fall of 2016 grew to over 166,000, up 5.2 percent from the Fall of 2015.  Transfer applications grew to nearly 40,000, up 11.8 percent year over year, resulting in a record 206,00 applications for the year.

All nine campuses reported increases in freshman applications, ranging from 4.7% growth at UC Berkeley and UCLA, to 11.8 percent growth at UC Merced.

Georgia Tech announced today that it admitted 4,424 early action applicants to the Class of 2020.  

Early action applications grew 27 percent this year to a record 14,861, resulting in an early action admission rate of 30 percent.

Davidson College announced today that it admitted 207 early decision I applicants to the Class of 2020.  

A total of 458 early decision I applications were received this year, resulting in an early admission rate of 45 percent.  Total early action applications were up 7 percent over the previous year.

The University of Notre Dame announced today that it admitted 1,610 restrictive early action applicants to the Class of 2020.  

A total of 5,321 early action applications were received this year, resulting in an early admission rate of 30%.  Total early action applications were up 21% over the previous year.

Middlebury College announced today that it admitted 336 early decision I applicants to the Class of 2020.  

A total of 667 early action applications were received this year, down slightly (5%) from last year.  The early decision I admission rate rose from 42% to 53% this year.

Middlebury expects admitted early decision applicants to comprise 49% of the targeted class size of 685.

Georgetown University admitted 892 restrictive early action applicants to the Class of 2019.  

A total of 7,027 early action applications were received this year, resulting in an early admission rate of 13 percent. 

The Walsh School of Foreign Service admitted 14 percent of applicants, while Georgetown College, the McDonough School of Business and the School of Nursing and Health Studies each admitted 12 percent of applicants.

Dartmouth accepted 494 applicants to the Class of 2020 under early decision.  

The total number of early admission applicants grew to 1,927 this year, up 3.6 percent.  This resulted in an early admission rate of 26%.

Dartmouth anticipates these early admits will account for 44% of this year's class.

Princeton University admitted 785 single choice early action applicants to the Class of 2020.  

Applications grew 9.8 percent to 4,229, resulting in an early admission rate of 18.5 percent.

The Massachusetts Institute of Technology admitted 656 early action applicants to the Class of 2020.  

A total of 7,767 applications were submitted this year, up 19% from last year, resulting in an early admission rate of 8.4%.  

4,776 applicants were deferred, 2,175 were denied, and the remaining 160 were withdrawn or incomplete.

Yale admitted 795 applicants to the Class of 2020 under Single Choice Early Action.

A total of 4,662 applications were received, resulting in an admission rate of 17 percent.  53 percent of applicants were deferred, 29 percent were denied, and 1% were withdrawn or incomplete.

Yale expects to admit an additional 1,200-1,300 students via regular decision to achieve a target class size of 1,360.

Stanford announced today that it admitted 745 applicants to the Class of 2020 under restrictive early action.  

Early applicants grew 7% to 7,822, resulting in an 9.5% admission rate.

Johns Hopkins admitted 584 applicants to the Class of 2020 under early decision.  

The total number of early decision applicants grew 3% to 1,929, resulting in an early admission rate of 30%.

The University of Pennsylvania admitted 1,335 early decision applicants to the Class of 2020.  

Early decision applications rose 5% from the previous year to 5,762, but the admission rate remained essentially unchanged at 24%.

This year's early admittees are expected to comprise 54% of this year's targeted class of 2,445 students.
