Sneak Peek for High School College Counselors (2024)

Our coverage universe now exceeds 725 four-year U.S. based institutions as we continue to enhance regional coverage and specialized institutions based on customer feedback. For high school customers, we've also added IE Business School (Madrid) and Hult International Business School to the list of international schools supported in College Kickstart through local context.

New tags have been added to identify schools with strong programs in applied/computational math (ACM) and game design (GAME).

We've also added a tag for great colleges for first generation/low income applicants (PELL)

For 2024, we've enhanced your ability to navigate a test-optional world in the following ways:

• Our proprietary recommendation engine now considers both strength of score and score submission rate as part of the analysis.
• Commentary has been expanded to better explain our test optional or test submission rationale.
• For high school customers using score submission tracking in Scoir ("Test Optional") or Cialfo ("Test Submitted"), we will automatically convert these into flags for reporting and CK 360™

Ask and you shall receive! Personalized Plan PDFs now include embedded hyperlinks to allow your students to explore key application requirements, majors and affordability straight from the PDF, without the need for extra Googling.

To add flexibility to the ways you can use academic rigor to combat grade inflation, we've made two changes:

• Rigor can now be used with both unweighted and weighted GPAs
• Rigor can now be activated just in reporting and CK 360™ to keep it counselor-facing only

The 2024 edition of College Kickstart includes significant performance speedups for local context analysis and reporting. Less time waiting means more time for gaining insight!

To help you drill down on outcomes for students based on academic performance, we've added a new Decile Analysis visualization to CK 360™.

This visualization lets you understand where your students are applying, getting accepted and enrolling by academic decile. You can view outcomes for one or more classes and filter results through flags if you use them.

It's a terrific way to understand how student interest varies by academic performance and to ensure outcomes for weaker students are just as good on a relative scale as they are for your top performers.

New for 2024 is a "standalone" edition of CK 360™ for counseling teams seeking data-driven insights without the need for our core planning capabilities. Standalone CK 360™ brings your historical data to life through a set of interactive visualizations, making it an invaluable decision support tool for advising students in a data-driven way. Outcomes reporting is also included, allowing you to communicate results to your board within the context of national trends.
