College Kickstart Sneak Peek for Students and Parents (2019)
With 2019 right around the corner, we thought it was time to give you a sneak peek of some of the cool new capabilities we've got in store for rising seniors and parents this January.
What's New for Students and Parents in 2019
Our coverage universe expands to over 550 institutions in 2018 with the addition of more regional colleges and Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). Plus and Premium edition subscribers get access to over 300 departmental admission rates across 50 popular public and private institutions, including new additions like Duquesne and Santa Clara University.
Assured (guaranteed) admission coverage now expands to 35 public universities across the nation. When a student's combination of residency, class rank, GPA and/or test scores satisfy a college's assured admission criteria, the school is categorized as a likely on the student's list and identified as an assured admission school. Links are also provided to check the "fine print" and ensure curriculum requirements have been satisfied.
Our list of tags continues to grow to help you quickly identify schools of interest, including those that are test-optional, offer assured admission, accept the Common App, participate in QuestBridge and cost nothing to apply. You can even look for schools strong in business or STEM fields and filter by athletic conference and religious affiliation. Looking to maximize merit scholarship opportunities? Let us help. In addition to providing proprietary merit aid rankings, College Kickstart tracks hard merit scholarship deadlines and now automatically enforces them in our action plan for any likely or target school in your list.
